Countdown - HP7
Here is where I reveal my nerdy side. So I'll admit, I'm kind of excited for the last Harry Potter movie to come out. I'm not one of the batshit fans who dresses up in a fucking wizard costume for the midnight premiere just to pick apart the inaccuracies but I do concede that the movies are entertaining as fuck. Plus, I grew up reading the books. The new trailer for the last movie just came out and while it is intense as shit and would probably make non-fans go see it (Emma Watson doesnt hurt. The chick that plays Ginny...eh) I'm not blown away.
The fact that a casual fan like myself could pick out things from the trailer that were not in the book is a bad sign for Warner Bros. Imagine the diehards freaking out about the inaccuracies. There's going to be hysteria. The costumed crazies might storm out of the theater (I hope so because I always provide color commentary when I'm watching movies and there is nothing more annoying than a 12 year old wearing a fucking robe and face paint trying to tell me to be quiet. Easy, tiger).
Either way, the trailer is kind of sick. Can't wait to hear the chirps about having a Harry Potter post. Whatever, we can only talk about the weather for so long. Either way, go see it, but maybe wait until it's been out for a few days so you don't have to deal with the adolescent psychos. July 15th. Count it down.

Countdown - Lupe Fiasco
Next Tuesday. Millett Hall. Lupe Fiasco. I don't know about everyone else on campus, but I'm pretty excited for this show. Despite not being able to get floor seats thanks to a certain Chi Psi who walked in with over 2,000 dollars in cash so he could buy every fucking floor seat, I'm still pumped. After a great show from Mike Posner at Brick Street, all I can think is that if that tiny show was that sick, imagine how great Lupe is gonna be at Milett. Tickets are still available though the Miami Box Office and if you don't already have em, I highly suggest throwing down the 30 bucks. I'm expecting legendary things.

Countdown - Indy 500
| Nice bucket hat. |
My father grew up within earshot of the Indianapolis Speedway so growing up I learned to love the place. The sound of the race cars taking turn three could get my 8 year old self more excited than anything. Now that I'm older I can appreciate the 500 for what it really is, one of the greatest spectacles in racing drinking in America. The infield is packed with college students dressed to the nines in their best impressions of racing fans. I'm talking ripped denim, so much camo you'd think you were hunting and neon orange headphones to pretend you're paying attention to whats actually happening on the track. Basically, it's just a classy event and a hell of a time. It's usually hot as balls though so keep the nattys cold and leave the milk drinking to the drivers. Break out the coolers and the camping chairs, the infield is where you want to be on race day. This year is the 100th anniversary of the legendary event so start counting down because you won't want to miss it. May 29th, mark it down.

| Clearly the time of their lives at the 500. I'm feeling a "USA" chant coming on. |
